Sensitive Generation Unite

If I may take a moment to speak to the sensitive souls
If you could only see we are not that different
Eras change, yet values remain the same

The younger clichés recite the common theme of ‘Be who you want to be’
‘Be proud of who you are’
‘We accept you one and all’
‘We are not like the generation from the past’
‘We’re advanced’

Oh, little ones if you could only hear your contradictory
Social bullies of public opinion
Claiming to be tolerant
But condemn those that speak their mind
Your advancement is confusion based on illusion
Technologically forward
1000 years socially backwards

Your attempts of tolerance make for good show
Seeing those having to apologize for speaking their mind
And those turned into pariahs for refusing to do so
Tolerance no longer exists for your sensitive generation
Agree to disagree is unheard of

The younger clichés recite the common theme of ‘Be who you want to be’
‘Be proud of who you are’
‘We accept you one and all’
‘We are not like the generation from the past’
‘We’re advanced’

My concern is for you young ones
Sorrow for those that fear of being condemned
To the outspoken, social bullies
Terrorizing individual speech
Tell me, in what way are we free to be ourselves?
Fear is what kills the soul
But what do we know
We are the dying generation as you say
Our old-school ways don’t fit with your modern days
We could never understand your self-righteous gang
But if you could only see we are not that different
Eras change, yet our values will remain the same
